3 Days Nairobi – Masai Mara Flying Safari

Overview

Maasai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers.

Day 1 – Nairobi / Masai Mara Game Reserve

Met upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to city hotel for breakfast at own arrangements later proceed to Wilson Airport for your 45 – minute domestic flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve, departing at 1000 hrs. (Baggage allowance on the domestic flights is 15 kg per person). On landing in Maasai Mara at 1100 hrs, met by our representatives using 04 x 04 Safari Land cruisers. Transfer to your lodge or camp, with game viewing enroute. Lunch at the Lodge, short siesta and at 1600 hrs, enjoy your first game drive in the sprawling Masai Mara Game Reserve. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 2 – Masai Mara Game Reserve

Full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 0630hrs and 1600 hrs respectively. Alternatively, you may enjoy a Full Day game drive in the Masai Mara with picnic lunch by the Mara River. Considered by many to be Kenya’s finest game reserve, the 650 sq miles of the Masai Mara adjoin Tanzania’s well-known Serengeti, forming one ecosystem. The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topi, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. From June to December, the annual Wildebeest migration takes place when thousands of these animals sweep across the plain and seek out new grazing areas. All meals and overnight at your lodge or camp.

Day 3 – Masai Mara / Nairobi

Breakfast followed by transfer to the Airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Met at Wilson Airport and transfer to the famous carnivore restaurant for lunch. Thereafter, drop off at the airport for your international flight.
