Detailed itinerary

Day1. Kigali City Tour and Transfer To Volcanoes National Park

You will take a city tour on your first day where you will visit places like the Rwanda genocide memorial grounds, the local markets, the former presidential Palace museum and many more. You will after transfer to volcanoes national park one of the finest national parks in Rwanda and Africa at large homing the rare endangered mountain gorillas, different bird species, the rare golden monkeys among others. You will arrive late evening and check in the accommodation site which will be the end of the day.

Day2. First Gorilla Trekking

Be served with breakfast and then drive to the park offices where briefing takes place. And this exercise will offer you trekking rules and regulations, gorilla information like the behaviors and many others. You will after start the search with help of the ranger guide and while in the forest, you will spot some bird species, Primates and more so a family of gorillas trekked where you will spend an hour with them watching over and following them. You will after transfer head back to the lodge for a leisure time.

Day3. Second Gorilla Trekking

Head back to the park office for briefing about this great adventure of gorilla trekking which will be the same like the previous one. Then head into the forest for another gorilla trekking experience to make it a double trekking experience. You will meet the gorilla family a where you will take an hour while in the presence of the gorillas and this will be another gorilla group which will give you a different experience. The overall experience while in the forest takes about 4 to 5 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Return to the lodge and take an option activity of visiting the Iby’iwacu cultural Village or visiting Lake Kivu.

Day4. Transfer Back to Kigali

Have a leisure breakfast and after return to Kigali, be dropped at the airport and this will mark the end of 4 Days double Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda.
