Meet upon arrival at the airport off your arrival morning flight, short briefing on the safari then drive to Amboseli National Park through the picturesque southern part of Kenya. Arrive on time for lunch at your camp or lodge in time for lunch and proceed to an evening game drive in the park. Amboseli National Park is situated against the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain (Mount Kilimanjaro). It’s famous for being one of the few places you can get close to free-roaming wild animals such as the big cats, herds of elephants, zebras, gazelles and buffaloes.
Full day in Amboseli with full day game drives starting 1130hrs and to depart with picnic lunches. Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya’s most popular national parks. Elephants abound in Amboseli, and to see these African icons against the backdrop of snow-topped Mount Kilimanjaro is a timeless image of the continent. This mosaic of dusty plains and swampy springs is also home to buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, impala, hyena, lion, leopard, cheetah and a third of Kenya’s nearly 1,100 bird species. The nearby photogenic black lava Chyulu Hills are a captivating area of ancient craters, rolling grasslands and aromatic cedar forest. All meals and overnight at the lodge.
After early breakfast at the hotel, drive to Lake Naivasha arriving on time for Lunch. Afternoon at leisure, dinner and overnight at your camp or lodge. (Optional boat ride to crescent island in own expense assisted by our tour guide at an extra cost).
Depart from your lodge after an early breakfast and drive through the scenic Rift Valley to Maasai Mara. You will have breathtaking views of hills, grasslands, extinct volcanoes and wheat plantations. Arrive on world’s famous game reserve on time for lunch. Enjoy introductory evening game drive then the dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Full days in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 0630hrs and 1600 hrs respectively. Considered by many to be Kenya’s finest game reserve, the 650sq miles of the Masai Mara adjoin Tanzania’s well-known Serengeti, forming one ecosystem. The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topi, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. From June to September, the annual Wildebeest migration takes place when thousands of these animals sweep across the plain and seek out new grazing areas. All meals and overnight at your camp or lodge.
Depart after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch at the famous carnivore restaurant. Later be dropped at the Airport for your onward flight back home.
